95th Sharpe's Rifles

This event is a Military Through the Ages style event.  We will have a living history encampment.  The focus of this year's event is the American War for Independence.  We can camp on site and we will cook in camp.  There are a great many spectators from the Army War College at this event and their questions are very good.  We will get a stipend for attending this event.

The Crown Forces of North America (CFNA) will hold their Grand Tactical at Sacketts Harbor, NY on July 25-26.  Refer to the CFNA web site for more details.

Living history event at Old Bedford Village in Bedford, PA.  This is a village of restored buildings outside of Bedford, PA.  The displays will be MTA style displays.  We camp in the village and cook meals in camp.

The site for the 2020 Brigade Napoleon Grande Tactique will be Ft. Erie, Ontario, Canada.

The location is a state park around a restored War of 1812 fort outside of Youngstown, NY.  This is near Buffalo, NY.  The CFNA will have battles and camp demonstrations all weekend.  Beautiful location.  The Friends of the Fort provide a breakfast each day.  A large event will several hundred reenactors.  A large camp of sutlers.  The fort dates from the French occupation in 1660.

Marion, IN is located 50 miles northeast of Indianapolis.  This event is the largest War of 1812 event held in the country.  This is a three day event with two battles each day.  Over 4000 spectators can be expected each day.  The largest sutlers row in the country.  we usually camp and mess with the 3rd Battalion, 95th Rifles.

This event has been postponed until June 18-20, 2021 due to the coronavirus.  The Waterloo 205th anniversary event will be held on the original battlefield.  Every fifth year, the event is given special emphasis and is larger than the "off-year" events.  as at past Waterloo events, we will join the 95th Rifles, 1st Battalion, 1st Company from the UK for this event. The event will be held at the Jamestown Settlement outside of Williamsburg, VA.   The site is owned and managed by the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation a quasi-state agency.  This has been a judged event in the past.  The J-YF staff would like emphasis on giving the spectators the chance for hand-on (not weapons)  interaction with reenactors and equipment.  We traditionally have a regimental dinner on Saturday evening at a local restaurant.  Camping on site is allowed and there are local hotels available…

This is a Brigade Napoleon event.  We will have exclusive use of the fort to conduct drill and talk with the public.  The fort staff will man a period tavern for us and spectators during the day, and for reenactors only after the camps close to the public.  There will be space in two blockhouses for use to camp without tents.  Contact Jim Tate if you wish to billet in the blockhouses.

This is a Grande Tactique event of the Brigade Napoleon.  You will cross the Niagara RIver at Buffalo, NY on he Peace Bridge.  The fort is 3 miles from the Canadian end of the bridge.  Ammunition will be available for the tactical demonstrations and battles.  Camping will be outside the fort walls. This is a 95th Rifles events and we can expect to be the only Napoleonic unit in attendance.  We will have a company mess and camp in the village center.   Ammunition will be available for shooting demonstrations.  We can expect to see several hundred spectators and have opportunities to recruit.  The event opens at 9 AM on Saturday and closes at 5 PM on Sunday.  we can arrive and set up on Friday evening.
